Print Quote is a cost calculator for people who make and sell 3D prints. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and your model files are deleted within 24 hours.
What we collect
- Your account: your shop or brand name, your email, your password and your recovery code. The password and recovery code are stored only as one-way hashes, so nobody can read them, including us.
- Model files you upload: used only to work out filament and print time. We keep the file for up to 24 hours after your last calculation with it, so you can change settings without uploading it again. Then it is deleted automatically.
- Your calculations: the file name, printer, settings and results (grams, print time, costs and suggested price). They stay with your account so your dashboard and report work. Calculations on the public demo are stored the same way, with no name or account attached.
- Sales and expenses you enter: dates, amounts and notes, used for your year-end report.
- Feedback and the beta list: what you type into those forms, including your email if you give it.
- Usage counts: simple totals such as how many people visited the home page or tried the demo. These counts have no names, emails or addresses in them.
Cookies and your browser
We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party analytics. Your browser also remembers your last calculation on your own device, so you can include it when you send feedback.
IP addresses
Your IP address is used for a short time, in memory, to stop abuse such as someone running thousands of calculations. We don't save it in our database. Our hosting provider's server logs may record it for a short time for security.
How we use it
- To run the calculator, your dashboard and your reports.
- To let you reset your password with your recovery code, and to reply when you contact us or ask us for a reset link.
- To improve Print Quote, for example by reading feedback and counting how many people use it.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising. We share it only with the company that hosts the app (Railway), which stores it for us, or if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Model files: up to 24 hours.
- Your account, calculations, sales and expenses: until you delete your account.
- Feedback and beta list answers: until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
- See and change your data: your printer, prices, sales and expenses are all in your dashboard.
- Download it: the year-end report downloads as CSV files.
- Delete it: contact us and we'll delete your account and everything in it.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (https), passwords are hashed, and the sign-in cookie can't be read by scripts on the page. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.
Children
Print Quote is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
